Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Hot. Work setting: Willing to relocate. On-site customer service. Tasks: Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Remove litter and garbage. Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees. Lay sod or seed. Establish work schedules and procedures. Cut grass. Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Assist with landscape constructions. Apply fertilizers. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Rake and collect refuse. Sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks. Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment. Supervision: 5-10 people. Truck or equipment experience: Snowblower. Equipment and machinery experience: Pick-up truck. Tractor mower. Area of specialization: Lawn care. Landscape construction. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Driver's validity licence check. Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours.
