Education: Bachelor's degree. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Air conditioned. Work setting: Event producer. Film and video. Television. Tasks: Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.). Teach interest or professional development courses. Design settings, scenic environments, costumes and lighting. Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions. Exhibit and display design experience: Conference. Museum, historical and cultural. Visual displays. Art or fashion design experience: Set or stage design. Lighting design. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Personal suitability: Accurate. Dependability. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility.
