Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Work setting: Various locations. Commercial. Tasks: Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel. Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings. Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems. Repair roofing systems. Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools. Install sheet metal flashings. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Area of specialization: Modified roofing system. Single ply sheet membrane roofing system. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Reliability.
