Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Renovation. Commercial. Residential. Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Prepare tenders and quotations. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Load, unload and transport construction materials. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Sledgehammer. Drills. Air compressors. Reciprocating saws. Circular saws. Air guns. Nail guns. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle.
