Education: College/CEGEP. Work site environment: Odours. All weather conditions. Work setting: Water and waste treatment utilities. Tasks: Conduct or assist in air and water quality testing. Conduct or assist in environmental monitoring and protection activities. Conduct tests and analysis using other physical and chemical separation techniques. Maintain laboratory equipment. Operate laboratory apparatus. Set up chemical experiments, tests and analyses. Assist in set up and conduction of chemical experiments. Compile records for analytical studies. MS Office. Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards . Assist in development of standards, health and safety measures. Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results. Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis. Conduct safety training programs. Supervise operation of mechanical equipment and machinery. Supervise other workers. Ensure compliance with government regulations. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment.
