FDL Cafe is seeking an experienced and talented Gelato Maestro to join our team. We pride ourselves on creating handcrafted, artisanal gelato, using the finest ingredients and traditional techniques. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crafting unique, high-quality gelato flavours. IMPORTANT: \*Please do not apply to this job if you are not a Gelato Mastro. This is a quite technical and detailed job that requires multiple years of experience. Thank you\* Responsibilities: * Create and develop new, innovative gelato flavors while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency * Ensure proper preparation, storage, and presentation of gelato according to company standards * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines * Operate and maintain gelato-making equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and cleanliness * Provide exceptional customer service, including offering samples and explaining the gelato-making process * Train and supervise junior staff members in gelato-making techniques and best practices * Manage inventory and order supplies as needed * Collaborate with the management team to develop marketing strategies, seasonal flavors, and special promotions Requirements: * Previous experience in gelato making or a similar role in the frozen dessert industry * Strong knowledge of gelato-making techniques, ingredients, and equipment * Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously * Food safety certification and knowledge of sanitation standards * Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed We look forward to hearing from you!
