Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Inspection. Tasks: Inspect motor in operation. Road test motor vehicles . Test automotive systems and components. Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts. Test motor vehicle electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance. Test and adjust parts. Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance. Review work order to determine job specifications. Perform scheduled maintenance and service. Diagnose faults, using testing devices. Complete inspection and test reports. Check mechanical assemblies and subassemblies for alignment and proper functioning. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Hand-eye co-ordination. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Reliability. Punctuality. Screening questions: Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years.
