Job Responsibilities.
* Ability to prepare Indian/Asian sauces and curry preparation.
* Must be able to prepare breads and meats in the tandoor (Indian style clay oven).
* Garnishing and presentation of food and in new cooking techniques
* Ensure quality of food and portion control,
* Maintain records of food costs, consumption, inventory
* While on duty keep the cooking area clean to make sure that the health and food safety standard are maintained
* Create and prepare authentic Indian dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Ensure all food is prepared and presented in a timely manner.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
* Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies to the MGMT.
* Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
* Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities estimate food requirements.
Skills:
* Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar role
* Knowledge of various cooking techniques and methods
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
* Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient meal preparation.
* Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively with colleagues.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
