Norfolk Golf & Country Club, established in 1895, is a 9-hole semi-private golf course located in Simcoe, Ontario with a design influenced by Stanley Thompson. *Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pro Shop Manager to oversee daily operations of the golf course. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, experience in a golf environment and a solid understanding of retail management practices. As the Pro Shop Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient workflow, maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, and leading a team to achieve sales goals. The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, particularly during the peak golf season is also a requirement. *Duties* * Supervise daily Pro shop operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. * Ensure that all golf events, tournaments and leagues are executed successfully, providing excellent communication with all partners involved: restaurant, grounds, participants. * Manage inventory levels and coordinate restocking efforts to maintain product availability. * Oversee cashiering activities, including handling transactions accurately using the POS system (Lightspeed). * Train, mentor, and supervise staff to foster a positive work environment and enhance team performance. * Communicate effectively with team members to ensure clarity in tasks and expectations. * Implement sales strategies to maximize revenue while providing exceptional customer service. * Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling shifts, managing employee records, and reporting sales data. * Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels. *Requirements* * Proven experience in golf retail management golf operations or a similar supervisory role is preferred. * Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering processes. * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members. * Ability to lead and motivate a team while fostering a collaborative work environment. * Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for administrative tasks. * Experience in sales techniques and strategies is a plus. * A commitment to providing outstanding customer service at all times.
