Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Hot. Tasks: Direct planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Hire, supervise and schedule staff. Organize planting of trees, gardens and lawns. Schedule events, programs and activities. Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Plan and estimate labour and materials. Organize and direct construction of decks and decorative or retaining walls. Plan, manage and supervise landscape construction work. Maintain work records and logs. Tender and administer contracts. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise nursery and greenhouse workers. Establish work schedules and procedures. Supervision: 3-4 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Forklift. Pick-up truck. Sod cutter.
