Job details
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Work setting: Urban area. Willing to relocate. Private practice. Clinic. Tasks: Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals. Examine patients' health condition to identify diseases and injuries . Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment . Prescribe and administer medications and treatments. Be the patient advocate. Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care. Provide acute care management. Provide emergency care. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC). Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years. Support for newcomers and refugees: Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Support for Veterans: Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Veterans.- LocationEdmonton, ABT5H 3H7
