Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Design and develop power equipment and systems. Install equipment. Maintain equipment. Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements. Service equipment. Assist in design, development and testing. Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports. Assist in inspecting, testing and adjusting electronic components. Calibrate electronic equipment and instruments. Collect and compile operational or experimental data. Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics. Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems.
