Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and promptly
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service
- Answer questions about menu items and make recommendations
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and resolve issues promptly
- Process payments using a POS system and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a server or in the food service industry preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers
- Strong time management skills to ensure efficient service to guests
Skills:
- Kitchen experience: Knowledge of food preparation, plating, and presentation techniques.
- Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service, address guest needs, and handle complaints or concerns.
- Math: Basic math skills for handling payments, making change, and calculating bills.
- Hospitality: Understanding of the hospitality industry, including providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Food service: Familiarity with food service procedures, including taking orders, delivering food, and clearing tables.
- POS (Point of Sale) systems: Experience using POS systems for order entry, payment processing, and generating receipts.
- Guest services: Ability to address guest needs, answer questions about menu items, make recommendations, and ensure guest satisfaction.
