As part of the Commercial Banking team the Relationship Manager Commercial Banking works on a team with an Analyst in supporting a portfolio of customers with borrowings in the $1 million to $15 million range.The Relationship Manager focuses on growing the portfolio by developing new business from both existing and new customers.Credit analysis is not a major component of the RM's accountabilities although based on business volumes may be required to meet customer expectations. The Relationship Manager receives coaching and support from the Unit Leader and Sales Manager.As a Relationship Manager you will work on a two-person team with an Analyst to manage a portfolio of mid-market Commercial relationships. As the face of the Bank to your clients, you will establish yourself as a trusted business advisor who is sought after for guidance regarding matters relating to the credit facilities that are supporting the client's business strategy. You will also add value by identifying opportunities and opening doors that will enhance the scope of the overall banking relationship.To that end the position develops and executes a relationship strategy for each client, identifying the key issues surrounding the relationship and implement a strategy to facilitate the expansion of our partnership with the business. In addition, in order that the RM can identify quality business opportunities they must have experience analyzing and structuring commercial credit.In addition to your undergraduate/graduate degree in business or relevant professional designation, you ideally have 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst or Account Manager in a business or banking environment. Alternatively, you may have experience in another profession that supports the needs of business and are looking for an opportunity to add value from a different perspective.
