City of LangfordPolice Services - Disclosure ClerkThe City of Langford invites you to apply to be a Police Services Disclosure Clerk with the City of Langford and the West Shore RCMP detachment.As a Disclosure Clerk, you will review requests for access to police and administrative records and disseminate information in accordance with applicable acts, legislation, and RCMP policy and procedure, ensuring information is managed and disclosed consistently, timely, and following best practices. You will also with the completion of all complex Police Information Checks and all local checks for Records Suspension applications. As our ideal candidate, you are highly detail-oriented and organized, proficient in a variety of computerised information/data systems, and proficient in document-driven research with an ability to identify and implement best practices to create an efficient on-going approach towards the release of information. You are an effective communicator, and a great team player with the ability to establish and maintain cooperating working relations with a variety of individuals and teams. You have previous experience working in a policing environment, and enjoy reviewing legislation and other various documents.Qualifications for this position include: Completion of Grade 12 and three (3) years? related experience ideally within a policing environment (or an equivalent combination) The ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance is mandatory Ability to interpret and apply policies, regulations and statutes Knowledge of, and proven ability to apply, the Access to Information Privacy Branch, BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and relevant RCMP policies and procedures Working knowledge of Police Records Information Management Environment (PRIME) System and Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) System Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing The salary range for this full-time position is 34.57 to $37.78 per hour.
