We are looking for a friendly, enthusiatic , self motivated Dental Assistant to join our team and provide support to our dentists and dental hygienists. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, assisting with dental procedures with the dentist and dental hygienist taking X-rays, charting and providing patient education.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare patients for dental treatment.
* Assist the dentist and dental hygienist during a variety of treatment procedures.
* Maintain patient records and charts.
* Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
* Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene techniques.
* Take dental radiographs (x-rays).
* Take alginate impressions independantly.
* Make whitening trays and Essix retainers independantly
* Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
* Keep the dental room clean and orderly.
* Crossover help with reception duties when needed.
* Hours : Tuesday 8.30am-6pm, Wednesday 8.30am-6pm, Thursday 9.30am-7pm and Friday 8.30am to 1pm
