*Overview* We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as part of their daily responsibilities. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. This role requires proficiency in various roofing materials and techniques, as well as the ability to read blueprints and work effectively with hand tools. *Duties* * Familiarity and experience with EPDM, TPO, Modified Bitumen, BUR. * Install roofing systems using materials such as shingles, metal, or tiles based on project specifications. * Repair and replace damaged roofs and roofing materials to ensure structural integrity and weather resistance. * Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of roofing systems. * Perform heavy lifting and physical labor while working at heights safely. * Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various roofing tasks. * Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing of roofs. * Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. *Qualifications* * Proven experience in roofing or related construction fields is preferred. * Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday. * Strong skills in blueprint reading for accurate installation of roofing systems. * Experience as a carpenter or maintenance person is a plus, providing additional skills relevant to the role. * Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. * Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing roofs against water intrusion is desirable. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
