Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Cold/refrigerated. Odours. Clean. Hot. Noisy. Work setting: On-site customer service. Urban area. Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG). Tasks: Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Prepare production and other reports. Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Direct quality control inspections. Organize and maintain inventory. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines. Hire, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques. Plan and organize daily operations. Maintain an inventory of raw materials and finished products to prevent shortages. Evaluate daily operations . Develop production schedules and duty assignments to ensure proper functioning. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Computer and technology knowledge: Word processing software. MS Excel. MS Windows. Internet. Responsibilities
