Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Floriculture production. Outdoors. Tasks: Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Consider water saturation, light and temperature when planning for germination. Cut horticultural crops. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Greenhouse cleaning. Mixing fertilizer. Seed cutting. Tie and secure plants. Weeding. Write daily basic progress reports. Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides. Mix and prepare soils. Plant bulbs and seeds. Pot and re-pot plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Apply fertilizers. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Assist in grafting activities.
