*Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and be capable of performing heavy lifting and working with hand tools. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety on the job site. As a Roofer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings.
*Responsibilities*
* Install roofing systems using various materials such as shingles, tiles, metal, or membranes.
* Repair and replace damaged roofs and roofing components.
* Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications.
* Perform caulking and sealing of roof joints to ensure waterproofing.
* Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
* Conduct inspections of roofs to identify potential issues or necessary repairs.
* Collaborate with other construction professionals including carpenters and maintenance person teams.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
*Requirements*
* Proven experience as a Roofer or in a related construction field.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday.
* Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
* Experience with caulking techniques for waterproofing applications.
* Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in roofing tasks.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
