*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Security Officer to join our team for the summer season working weekend events around the province. We work events in towns and cities all over Saskatchewan, as well as within the city of Saskatoon itself. Events can range from 1 day to 3 days at a time. Transportation and lodging is covered by the company while on location. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules, and responding to incidents. Candidates with experience in law enforcement, loss prevention, surveillance systems, and posess a Security Training Course Certificate will be highly regarded.
*Duties*
* Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
* Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
* Utilize CCTV and other surveillance equipment to monitor activities and identify potential threats.
* Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
* Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
* Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required.
* Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors and addressing their inquiries.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in law enforcement or loss prevention is preferred.
* Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is a plus.
* Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
* Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
* Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
* A valid security license may be required.
