Rodd Miramichi River is currently seeking a Cook 1 to join our team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of foods for our Restaurant, 1809. Essential Functions * Prep and cooks required items in accordance with menu, using grill, ovens, and fryers * Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area * Assists with culinary auditing, temperature checking of food items within kitchen, stations, fridge?s and freezers * Adherence to Rodd's policies and procedures, including Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety * May perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: * 2+ years of line cook experience * Working toward Red Seal considered an asset * Valid WHMIS, Food Safe Advanced Certification, First Aid Certification considered an asset * Must be able to work effectively and efficiently, supervised and unsupervised * Must be flexible, evening and weekend work Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.99 per hour Additional pay: * Tips Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Schedule: * 8 hour shift Experience: * cooking: 2 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: * Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred) Work Location: In person- LocationMiramichi, NB
