Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Professionalism in customer service. Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : AZ class license. Documentation knowledge: Accident or incident reports. Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip). Maintenance and repair reports. Trans-border documentation. Type of trucking and equipment: Tractor-trailer. Communication systems experience: Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul. Security and safety: Valid passport. Driver's validity licence check. Driving record check (abstract). Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel cross-border. Willing to travel for extended periods. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Cellular phone.
