*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization?s goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively.
*Duties*
* Maintain accurate financial records and reports for ISC funding and own source revenue programs.
* Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with month-end and year-end processes.
* Ensure timely processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
* Assist in budget tracking, financial forecasting, and audit preparation.
* Maintain strict confidentiality in handling financial data and member information.
* Multitask effectively in a fast-paced and evolving office environment.
* Support the Finance Officer with various financial and administrative tasks.
*Requirements*
* Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master?s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
* Proven experience in finance or accounting roles with a strong understanding of financial principles.
* Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
* Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in financial administration or bookkeeping.
* Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
* Experience working with ISC reporting requirements is an asset.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with various departments.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
