As part of this growth, we?re seeking a knowledgeable and personable *Ophthalmic Dispenser* to join our team and help bring this new space to life. *Job Overview:* The Ophthalmic Dispenser will be instrumental in shaping the experience of our patients in the new dispensary. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of building something from the ground up while benefiting from the support and reputation of an established optometry practice. *Duties* * Greet and assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their needs and preferences. * Conduct accurate measurements for lenses and fittings. * Maintain an organized display of eyewear products, ensuring cleanliness and accessibility. * Process orders for eyewear, including lenses and frames. * Collaborate with optometrists to understand prescriptions and provide appropriate recommendations. * Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. * Perform fittings, repairs, and adjustments to eyewear, along with assisting in trouble-shooting any patient concerns. * Handle sales transactions efficiently while providing excellent customer service. * Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology. *Qualifications* * Certified Ophthalmic Dispenser or equivalent experience in optical dispensing * Strong customer service and communication skills * Familiarity with current eyewear trends and lens technologies * Proficiency in optical software and electronic health records (an asset) * A passion for patient care and a team-oriented mindset * Strong sales skills with a proven track record in retail sales. * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
