* Providing cutting, styling, shampooing, colouring and other hair care services * Keeping the salon and their station clean and sanitary * Staying abreast of current fashion trends and popular hair styles * Maintaining a strong inventory of hair care products * Keeping appointments on schedule * Building and maintaining relationships with regular clients * Collecting payment for services rendered Importantly should be a team player, friendly and confident. Qualifications - Customer service skills - Hair styling experience - Knowledge of sanitation practices - Ability to upsell products and services - Strong communication skills - Experience in retail sales is a plus - Familiarity with front desk operations would be beneficial Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.00-$21.00 per hour Additional pay: * Commission pay * Tips Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care * Life insurance * Vision care Schedule: * 8 hour shift * Monday to Friday * Weekends as needed Ability to commute/relocate: * Corner Brook, NL A2H 1R4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Application question(s): * Have you completed a cosmetology, barbering or similar course?
