Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in aligning pipes during pipeline construction. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Assist skilled tradespersons. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves. Ear plugs. Personal suitability: Team player. Experience: Experience an asset.
