At HWS, we use a gender based analysis (GBA+), trauma and violence informed framework to deliver prevention, education and crisis support services to women and their families who have been impacted by gender based violence (GBV) in rural Huron County. Our services include a 24-hour helpline and emergency shelter, risk assessment and safety planning, advocacy, system navigation, individual and group healing opportunities, and community development.
We are seeking a *Facilities Cleaner *to join our team. This is a part time, continuing role.
*Job Purpose*
Reporting to the Manager of Maintenance and Facilities and working alongside the Program and Maintenance teams throughout our residential and administrative buildings, the Facilities Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of these spaces.
*Duties and Responsibilities Include:*
1. Regular cleaning and sanitation of all client shared spaces, staff offices and high touch areas.
2. Planned routine deep cleaning.
3. Occasional cleaning of residential units and bedrooms upon move out.
4. Regular emptying of garbage and recycling bins and replenishing of supplies.
5. Performs safe work and cleaning practices, following health and safety procedures.

· Demonstrates knowledge and experience of cleaning standards and schedules.
· Strong sense of initiative.

· Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to be punctual and reliable.
· Ability to work independently as well as within a team with minimal supervision.
· Demonstrates understanding and respect of the confidentiality and privacy of the organizations works and clients.
· Valid driver?s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
· Clear and current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).
*Qualifications*
· High School diploma or equivalent education and experience.
· Minimum 2 years of related experience in commercial cleaning.
· Preference will be given to experience obtained in residential setting or in settings that support vulnerable populations.
*Working Conditions*
· The Facilities Cleaner typically works in a residential and office environment; however, the position may require working in non-standard workplaces.
· The Facilities Cleaner is a part-time position at 8 hours per week with potential for additional hours and will be required to work during the day, with an early morning start.
*Physical Requirements*
· Ability to lift 25 pounds, and lift, push, pull and move cleaning equipment and supplies.
· Ability to climb ladders, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time, reach overhead while performing certain cleaning duties and bend or crawl into awkward spaces.
