Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Rural area. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Willing to relocate. Chronic or long-term care facilities/centres. Health care institution, facility or clinic. Tasks: Supply and empty bed pans. Serve meal trays and feed patients. Weigh, lift, turn and position patients. Make beds and maintain patients' rooms. Bathe, dress and groom patients. Transport patients between care facilities. Transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher. Provide personal care. Provide companionship. Prepare and serve nutritious meals. Administer bedside and personal care. Feed or assist in feeding. Change non-sterile dressings. Assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk. Aid in the prevention of inadequate nutrition. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Security and safety: Criminal record check. Tuberculosis test. Reference required. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
