We are looking for an experienced FP&A at our Delta site who will be responsible for overseeing the financial planning, analysis and reporting for the business unit. The role requires strong analytical skills, and ability to manage complex financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Forecasting:
· Lead the development of the annual budget and periodic forecasts for aerospace operations, including sales, cost of goods sold (COGS), operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, sales, and operations, to gather data and ensure the accuracy of financial assumptions.
· Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and providing explanations to senior management.
2. Financial Reporting & Analysis:
· Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management, highlighting key metrics and business trends.
· Analyze financial results, providing insights on profitability, cost drivers, and business performance.
· Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, or new business ventures within the aerospace sector.
3. Cost Management & Optimization:
· Analyze production costs, identify areas for cost optimization, and work with operational teams to improve cost efficiency.
· Support the pricing strategy for new projects and contracts, ensuring alignment with business goals and financial objectives.
· Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper accounting treatment of materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
4. Process Improvement & Systems:
· Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and analysis to increase efficiency and accuracy.
· Lead initiatives to enhance financial models, reporting systems, and forecasting tools.
· Ensure compliance with internal controls and aerospace industry-specific regulations, such as cost accounting standards (CAS), FAR, and DCAA guidelines.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (Master?s or MBA preferred).
? 3+ years of experience in FP&A, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
? Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
? Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights).
? Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate complex financial data.
? Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
? Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
? The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
