*Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA*) is a recognized, industry-led, not-for-profit organization that operates regulated recycling programs across Canada.
We provide environmental compliance programs for manufacturers, distributors, retailers and other suppliers of electronics and represent the largest network of qualified processors and drop-off locations in Canada. Our mandate is to ensure end-of-life electronics are collected, recycled and handled in a safe, secure and environmentally-sound manner.
We currently have a new opening for a *Recycling Qualification Program Coordinator* based out of our Mississauga head office located at 5750 Explorer Drive.
This is a full-time, permanent position.
*Role Overview:*
Reporting to the VP Operations, the *Recycling Qualification Program Coordinator* will support the Recycler Qualification Program?s mandate to audit electronic recyclers across Canada. This position will ensure conformance to the Electronics Recycling Standard (ERS) requirements.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Serve as primary interface and point of contact for recycling processors, the public, and internal EPRA teams
* Effectively answer program questions and resolve issues
* Objectively review and assess processor application packages
* Administer processor payments as needed
* Liaise with internal program auditors and log audit reports
* Track and Report on RQO?s Key Performance Indicators
* Manage the RQO database
* Review results of the Mass Balancing Program and report findings to management
* Conduct ad hoc document reviews and desk audits to ensure compliance
* Share information and promote teamwork with local stewardship program staff
* Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
* Other duties related to the mandate of the Recycler Qualification Office
*Ideal Candidate:*
* Holds a post-secondary degree/diploma ideally in Business, Political Science, Environmental Studies or a related discipline
* Minimum of one year?s work experience in an operations, administrative or compliance type role
* Solid MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Access)
* Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Technical aptitude for learning and using new systems
* Understanding of or interest in learning about Ontario?s Circular Economy and the recycling industry
* Familiarity with electronics, recycling or government regulations is an asset.
* MUST have valid Ontario Driver?s licence and use of a reliable vehicle.
* English/French bilingualism is a definite asset
