By collaborating with the Government of New Brunswick (GNB), you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the fish and seafood industry, driving economic growth, and fostering sustainability in our region.As a Business Growth Officer, you will: Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement by supporting companies in establishing, growing, and improving their productivity and export efforts; Assist with market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities; Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, and potential business partners; Assist entrepreneurs by providing information on financial support programs that can enhance their business; Work on other related projects as required.ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or Biotechnology, and a minimum of four (4) years of related experience, including experience in the food sector; or a two-year related technical diploma and a minimum of six (6) years of related experience, including experience in the food sector. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.Written and spoken competence in English is required.
