Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry. Tasks: Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders. Prescribe post-operation medication and treatment . Supervise surgical procedures. Treat diseases, injuries and deformities. Act as consultants to other physicians. Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC). Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II). Specialty residency training. Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination. Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities. Specialization in surgery: Obstetrics/gynecology. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Attention to detail.
