*About Us:* We are a busy custom metal fabrication shop that specializes in made-to-order steel components and assemblies. Our shop includes a full-service sandblasting and painting department, and we?re currently seeking a skilled *Blasting Operator* to join our team. *Position Overview:* As a Sandblasting Operator, you?ll play a key role in preparing steel components for painting and finishing by removing rust, mill scale, and old coatings using abrasive blasting equipment. We are looking for someone dependable, safety-conscious, and physically capable of working in a blasting environment. *Key Responsibilities:* * Operate sandblasting equipment to clean and prepare steel surfaces * Inspect parts before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met * Handle and move large fabricated steel parts safely using cranes and forklifts * Perform routine maintenance on blasting equipment and booths * Monitor and maintain media levels and cleanliness in the blasting area * Communicate with painters and shop leads to coordinate workflow * Follow all company safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times *Requirements:* * Previous experience in abrasive blasting or industrial painting preferred * Ability to wear a full hood respirator * Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions (standing, lifting, crouching) * Familiarity with overhead crane and forklift operation (in house training provided, if required) * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team *What We Offer:* * Competitive wages based on experience * Full-time hours with overtime opportunities * Health benefits after probation * A positive, team-based work environment * Ongoing training and growth opportunities in the shop *To Apply:* Please submit your resume through this job posting or drop it off in person at: Fusion Industries 41095 6th Avenue North Niverville, MB R0A 0A2 We thank all applicants for their interest, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
