Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Cold/refrigerated. Work setting: Mines and quarries. Room and board provided. Remote location. Various locations. Logging sites. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Help medical examiner in charge. Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites. Operate bridge or overhead cranes to lift, move and place plant machinery and materials. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Assist in demolishing buildings. Supervision: Carpenters. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Chainsaw Safety Training. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. Driver's License (Class 1 or A). Drilling equipment: Diamond drill. Equipment and machinery experience: Reciprocating saws. Circular saws. Nail guns. Drills. Torches. Chain saw. Sledgehammer. Hand tools. Construction specialization: Roads and bridges. Security and safety: Drug test. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
