Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Drug enforcement. Work setting: Construction. Various locations. Industrial. Roads and bridges. Fabrication. Drilling. Camp. Remote location. Tasks: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. Fabricate and apply removable insulation pads and covers. Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms. Build staging or erect scaffolding for heavy metalworking jobs. Supervision: 3-4 people. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Carpenter Trade Certification. Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. First Aid Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Drilling equipment: Core drill. Equipment and machinery experience: Hand tools. Drills. Area of work experience: Resource exploration. Area of specialization: Exploration. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Bending, crouching, kneeling. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Handling heavy loads. Large workload. Overtime required. Physically demanding.
