Ottawa Nannies & Family Services is hiring on behalf of a family in *Alta Vista* seeking a *long-term, experienced nanny* to support their growing family with two young boys ? an almost 2-year-old and a newborn. This role is ideal for someone who is warm, reliable, and aligned with a gentle but structured approach to care. The position will begin as part-time and has the potential to expand as the family adjusts and the children grow. The right candidate will be someone who values consistency and is looking to build a strong relationship with the family over time. ? *Position Overview:* ? *Location:* Alta Vista, Ottawa ? *Schedule:* Monday?Thursday, mornings or afternoons (to be discussed) ? *Start Date:* As soon as possible ? *Children:* Two boys ? one toddler (almost 2 years old) and one newborn ? *Duties Include:* ? Daily caregiving for toddler (feeding, diapering, play, naps) ? Engaging, age-appropriate activity planning ? Reading, outdoor time, and outings to local parks, library, or playgroups ? Meal prep for the child ? Light tidying of shared spaces and play areas ? Occasional support with errands and family meal prep ? Infant care will be added once appropriate, as discussed with the family ? *Candidate Requirements:* ? 2+ years of relevant experience (nanny, teacher, ECE, etc.) ? CPR & First Aid certified ? Safe food handling certified (or willing to obtain) ? Valid driver?s license and insured vehicle ? Fully vaccinated ? Strong references ? Conversational English (as a first or second language) ? Understanding of attachment-based caregiving approaches ? *Key Characteristics:* ? Consistent, dependable, and looking for long-term placement ? Gentle and playful, with clear boundary-setting skills ? Organized and able to maintain calm routines throughout the day ?
