*Company name:* Absolute Roof Solutions Inc. *Position:* Roofer (NOC 73110) *Wage rate*: $36/hr *Job type:* Permanent, Full time. *Language: *English *Start date of employment:* As soon as possible *Education:* Completion of high school is required. *Experience:* Minimum 2 year of experience in roofing *Position available:* 2 *Work Location: *Various locations in Lower Mainland. *Business Location:* 1676 W 75th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6P 6G2 *Job Duties:* · Install, repair, or replace built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt-saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel. · Install, repair, or replace single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials including modified plastics, elastomeric membranes, and asphaltic compositions. · Install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on sloped roofs. · Install sheet metal flashings around roof intersections, chimneys, and other structures to prevent water infiltration. · Apply waterproof coatings and membranes to concrete or masonry surfaces, both above and below ground level, to enhance water resistance. · Install and repair metal roofing systems using hand and power tools, ensuring proper sealing and alignment. · Set up scaffolding, ladders, and safety barriers to provide safe and secure access to roof areas. · Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes at all times. · Inspect existing roofing systems to assess the extent of damage or wear and determine repair requirements. *Qualifications:* · Proven experience in roofing installation and repair particularly torch-on flat roofing. · Ability to work at heights and in varying weather conditions · Familiarity with roofing materials and hand/power tools · Strong attention to detail and safety awareness *Working Conditions:* · Work in wet, damp, strong odours, dust, cold environments, outdoors, noisy. · Heavy workloads, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel. · Repetitive task. · Job is physically demanding, ability to lift 50 lbs or more. *How to Apply* Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume detailing their relevant experience to hr@absoluteroof.ca Please include ?Roofer? in the subject line.
