Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Machinery installation. Maintenance. Repair. Overhaul. New construction. Machine set-up. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Coach and instruct apprentices. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Supervise other workers. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Installing machinery and equipment. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Commission systems and components. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification. Equipment and machinery experience: Conveyor. Fans and blowers. High speed packaging equipment. Hydraulic system. Lathes and other machining tools. Pneumatic system. Power tools. Hand tools. Area of specialization: Start-up and testing. Shutdown operations. Renovating and restoring. Rigging and handling. Troubleshooting. Centering and setting to elevation. Bearing, seals and packing. Security and safety: Bondable. Basic security clearance.
