*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a compassionate individual who is comfortable working with patients of all ages, including children, and is knowledgeable in various aspects of dental assisting. Fridays and Alternating Saturdays. *Duties* * Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile environment. * Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are clean and ready for use. * Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist. * Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. * Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic. * Schedule appointments and handle patient inquiries as needed, functioning also in a receptionist capacity when required. * Assist with pediatric patients, providing a comforting presence during their visits. * Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure the office is well-stocked. * Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. *Requirements* * Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting is preferred. * Experience in pediatrics, orthodontics, or other specialized areas is a plus. * Proficiency in using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software is advantageous. * Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. * Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. * Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Receptionist is preferred but not mandatory. * A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.
