*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Intermediate level Family Law Clerk to join our growing legal team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to utilize their practical experience in the legal field. The Family Law Clerk will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day operations by assisting with billings to clients (and to LAO), maintaining organization of client files, corresponding with clients, potential clients, the Courts and other firms/lawyers, advanced work to include legal research, drafting Court documents, and managing administrative tasks such as filing, appointments, etc.
*Duties*
* Providing day-to-day administrative support to Lead Counsel.
* Coordinating and carrying out administrative functions in a professional and confidential manner.
* Ensuring timely response to inquiries from clients, potential client inquiries and other law offices
* Organizing and maintaining files.
* Dealing with day-to-day administrative correspondence.
* Handling confidential information with significant discretion and judgment.
* Issuing legal accounts to clients from beginning to completion using Cosmolex software.
* Other general administrative duties as required on-site.
*Skills*
* Proficient in data entry with a keen attention to detail.
* Familiarity with Lexis-Nexis or similar legal research tools is preferred.
* Proficiency with Divorcemate, Divorcepath and Cosmolex a requirement.
* Ability to file Court documents on-line through proper Portal
* Ability to coordinate in-person Courthouse (Peterborough) filings
* Ability to recognize and strictly adhere to Court Filing deadlines
* Ability and knowledge to upload documents onto Case Center
* Effective phone etiquette for professional communication with clients and colleagues.
* Strong administrative skills, including organization and time management.
* Proficient in clerical tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
