Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Supervise laboratory technical personnel, medical clinical personnel, graduate students, research scientists and other professionals
  • Write articles meant for the general public about wellness issues
  • Conduct biostatistical data analysis using computer modelling techniques
  • Participate in the commercialization of new products
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Supervise biological technologists and technicians and other scientists
  • Compile and analyze statistical information provided by private and public health care institutions and organizations
  • Produce reports
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Conduct molecular or biochemical studies and experiments in genetic expression, gene manipulation and recombinant DNA technology to develop new or alternative methods of producing products
  • Present the views of an association or organization to members, the media and the general public
  • Prepare research papers, educational texts or articles
  • Conduct interviews
  • Conduct literature reviews
  • Deliver presentations at conferences, workshops or symposia
  • Monitor and compile research results
  • Offer mentoring
