Tasks: Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Prepare tenders and quotations. Estimate costs and materials. Utilize hand and power tools. Supervise other artists or apprentices. Strip old finish from wood surface. Restore and conserve museum and gallery artifacts. Repair machine tools and parts. Perform other routine maintenance. Measure lumber to ensure specified thickness, length and width. Build models. Greet customers. Service attachments and working tools. Maintain work areas. Set up and adjust production machineries/tools. Type of production art: Product packaging.
