Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Wholesale establishment/store. Retail business. Tasks: Arrange product according to planogram. Establish and maintain contact with suppliers. Maintain adequate stock levels. Oversee distribution of merchandise to outlets. Provide customer service. Review requirements of establishment and determine quantity and type of merchandise to purchase. Select and purchase merchandise for resale. Supervise work of other buyers. Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories and product design events. Drive lighter, special purpose trucks. Prepare invoices and bank deposits. Supervision: 3-4 people. Staff in various areas of responsibility. Computer and technology knowledge: Spreadsheet. Internet. MS Excel. MS Word. Security and safety: Valid passport. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Willing to travel regularly. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses not paid by employer.
