Ensure that all equipment used is in safe working order at all times. *SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES* * Maintain a safe working environment and good housekeeping. * Proficient in applied math and electrical knowledge. * Inspect, repair, assemble, install, adjust and do preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment. * Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems and installations, chains, belts, gear drives and puller ratios. * Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment with minimal production downtime. * Be able to read electrical blue prints. * Familiar with PLC Programming, trouble-shooting, power installations. * Work as a Team Member in all situations. *EDUCATION REQUIRED* Licensed Electrician Grade 12 Diploma *EXPERIENCE REQUIRED* 5 years in a manufacturing environment Familiar with safety devices and legislated codes Exercises independent judgment / decision making Able to read Blueprints Good analytical skills for failure detection and problem solutions NEXT Polymers welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
