Assisting with Performance Management, Accommodation administration, recruitment, training, and onboarding processes. This position reports to the HR Managers and will collaborate closely with various departments within the organization executing all tasks and responsibilities with high level of professionalism and confidentiality.</p><p></p><p><strong>Essential Job Results</strong></p><ul><li>Assisting in the performance management process, by editing and drafting emails and letters.</li><li>Supporting with Accommodations and LOA Administration.</li><li>Supporting with the onboarding process by updating policies and procedures for a more streamlined experience.</li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to support organizational goals and values.</li><li>Participate in HR employer-employee relations meetings and provide assistance with grievances, complaints, issues, and accommodations.</li><li>Serve as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and practices.</li><li>Address employee inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.</li><li>Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate actions in alignment with organizational policies and legal requirements.</li><li>Network with external companies and partners to stay current with best practices that will help drive new programs, enhancements and initiatives</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Post secondary education in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience</li><li>Experience in all aspects of human resources in a unionized environment</li><li>Good knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, compensation and benefits, labor negotiations, and employee relations</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.</li><li>Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite</li></ul><p>Working in an environment where there may be smoke is required.</p><p>The successful applicant must provide a criminal record check that is satisfactory to Homes First Society</p><p></p><p>Homes First Society is an equal opportunity employer</p><p></p><p><strong>Accommodation</strong></p><p>Homes First is committed to creating an accessible and inclusive organization.
