In this role, you will be responsible for handling live poultry in a fast-paced production environment while ensuring animal welfare and safety standards are met. * Poultry hangers carefully removes the live poultry from the crates and places them upside down on moving shackles which begins the slaughter process. * Ensures all animal welfare protocols are conducted * Place empty bird crates into the machine for washing * Load and ensure the full crates move on the conveyor belt * Inspect birds from live end to evisceration * Spray washes the facilities to ensure cleanliness * Other duties as assigned *Requirements:* * Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift. * Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. * Comfortable working in a hot, wet, and dusty environment. * Able to work around raw and live poultry. * Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motion. * Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment.
