*Position Overview*
The *Accounting Manager* supports the Director, Finance in developing and maintaining accounting books and records, internal controls, and accounting policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for managing financial accounting and partnering with the senior management team to ensure a complete and accurate accounting record is prepared in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
The Accounting Manager reviews day-to-day transactions and account reconciliations and serves as a subject matter expert in accounting for the entire team. This position also leads process improvement projects and initiatives.
*Tasks and Responsibilities*
· Maintains AP listing and provides weekly Cash Flow reporting to senior management.
· Prepares and manages month-end closing, account reconciliations and financial statements.
· Prepares monthly variance analysis and supplemental financial information.
· Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and company-established accounting policies and procedures, including updating policies as needed and staying current on new and upcoming guidance.
· Supervises and mentors accounting staff, providing the necessary training and support, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance.
· Performs accounting research and provides financial and accounting advice and knowledge, including writing position papers and memos as needed to summarize research results.
· Prepares ad-hoc analysis to management.
· Assists with processing and tracking of intercompany transactions.
· Supports process improvement projects and initiatives, in particular related to automation and optimization of the accounting processes using digital tools available.

*Experience Level:*
· 3-5 years? professional accounting experience
· Minimum 1 year of experience leading an accounting team
*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs)*
· Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred
· Strong understanding in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
· Public accounting, corporate accounting and/or cost accounting experience preferred
· Intermediate or higher level of Microsoft Excel skills required
· Experience with cloud-based accounting software and tools
· Business writing experience related to accounting policies and procedures, guidance research and interpretation
· Strong adaptability, communication, time management, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently with attention to details, and effective organizational and problem-solving skills
· Project management experience focuses on goals, actions, and positive results
· Exceptional leadership skill, strong forward and strategic thinking mindset

*Hours of Work:*
The Accounting Manager is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, typically from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Additional hours may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business.
