We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Millwright to join our North 49 Foods team based out of our Moose Jaw, Saskatoon location.
*Brief Job Description*
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Millwright will be responsible for the installation, layout, preventative and ongoing maintenance of machinery and equipment. Working as part of the Maintenance Team, the Millwright ensures all machinery is running safely and the plant is operating in compliance with applicable regulations. All maintenance work will be carried out efficiently, while having the highest priority on safety.
*Main Responsibilities*
* Troubleshoots, diagnoses equipment failure and carryout repairs.
* Completes assigned and scheduled work orders and performs preventive maintenance on all associated equipment.
* Determines parts required for repairs and replacement.
* Dismantles, modifies, and maintains all equipment as needed.
* Reads and interprets drawings, diagrams, and plans.
* Determines and follows procedures for testing existing and newly installed machines and equipment to maximize output.
* Uses a variety of hand and power tools, meters and material handling equipment while performing duties.
* Follows all maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory codes while always maintaining a safe work environment.
* Reports any safety and/or quality issues as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Requirements*
* Millwright certification, required.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Accountable and dependable and able to manage time effectively.
* Superior problem-solving abilities.
* Able to lift and carry objects, as required.
* Experience in a manufacturing setting an asset.
