*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice at *Smile Plus Dentistry*. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dental software is preferred, along with knowledge in pediatrics and orthodontics.
*Responsibilities*
* Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
* Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
* Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
* Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
* Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems
* Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care.
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a Certified Dental Assistant is preferred; currently registered with the BCCOHP
* Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
* Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus.
* Proficiency in using dental software will be advantageous.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with patients of all ages.
